Accept: Agree to take something given by someone: 

Contoh penggunaan Accept:

 “She accepted the offer of a lift home. Or,

“she accepted the gift.” Or,

“Credit cards are not accepted here” Even inanimate things like

“The ticketing machine accepts small change as well” Or,

“I accept your argument” Or

“The committee accepted the Company’s proposals” Or

“This challenge is one I accept willingly”

Receive: be given something: 

Contoh penggunaan receive:

the artist received 50K for his performance.

the school received wide coverage in the Press

Formal meaning too, as in The President received the delegation

The Minister will receive complaints between 10 am and 2 pm.

Get a feeling of: He received a signal of impending threat..
